FFXIV Tips: Stormblood Early Access
Final Fantasy XIV recently held a special livestream to share details about the game’s upcoming second expansion, Stormblood.
FINAL FANTASY XIV: Stormblood is now available for pre-purchase on the Steam and PS4 platform. Please keep in mind that this is a pre-purchase and not a pre-order, meaning that the product will be charged for immediately upon checkout on Steam and PS4.
Anyone who preorders Final Fantasy XIV: Stormblood will receive these goodies:
Early Access to the game ahead of the official launch (Scheduled to begin Friday, June 16, 2017 at 2:00 a.m. PT)
Exclusive in-game items: (Wind-up Red Mage Minion and Ala Mhigan Earrings)
It contains a heap of new content, including new missions, jobs, and areas, along with a new raid, a level cap increase, and the ability to swim. Stormblood is a big deal for the Final Fantasy XIV community, and for anyone interested in diving into an enormous MMO.
Any game pre-ordered on PSN will be charged immediately, and tied to your PSN account. However, you won't be able to download it until release, or close to release. PS4 has what they call "preload" on most games, which allows you to download the application material anywhere from a couple of days early to a few hours before the actual release. Basically the source material has to be there to download.
